How do I install The PickupWall?
With our easy-to-follow Installation Manual and Video, The PickupWall will take 2 people 3 hours to install.
What are the requirements for outdoor court installation?
Installation sites must be clear of entry gates and sprinkler heads. Windscreens are encouraged to be installed but may require modification to allow spring connection near the top and side fences. Sprinkler heads in line with The PickupWall track may be re-located to the top of the fence at the expense of the purchaser.
What are the requirements for indoor installation?
Indoor courts require a standard back curtain guide wire and side guide wires secured by a wedge anchor at the customers expense per PickupWall instructions.
Who do I call for installation help or troubleshooting?
The PickupWall technical team is available Monday – Sunday 7:00 am – 10 pm by calling 561-252-1410.
Is the PickupWall movable to other courts?
Due to its custom design moving The PickupWall to a different court is not recommended however as long as the future court has the same dimensions as the original court, the transfer may be made.
Can I move The PickupWall from outdoors to indoors?
Yes, as long as the court dimensions and height are the same and wedge anchors are installed indoors.
Can the PickupWall be installed in an indoor bubble?
While challenging, if purchaser provides proper guide wire and support structure to attach The PickupWall, it may be install in an indoor bubble.
How long does it take to set up The PickupWall return chute?
After setting up your ball machine, The PickupWall will take 2 minutes to align the ball return unit to the ball machine.
What do I do with the return chute when not in use?
When not in use the ball return tube is conveniently stored in the PickupWall track.
Where do I place the ball machine when used with The PickupWall?
Place the ball machine on the baseline 2’ toward the deuce court for California Courts and 10’ toward the Duece court for standard courts.
Will The PickupWall operate with different ball machines?
The PickupWall has universal operation with all ball machines.
Can I return balls back to a teaching cart?
Yes.
Is the court available for daily play?
One of the most convenient design features of The PickupWall is it is installed just three feet from the outdoor back fence or indoor guide wire making the court usable at all times.
Can I move The PickupWall from its installed place?
It is best The PickupWall remain in place as installed however, it may be moved back for maintenance or indoor clearance to within 18″ of the back fence or guide wire.
What are the electrical requirements of The PickupWall?
The PickupWall requires one standard 15 amp 115 volt, 60 mhtz outlet. One additional 15 amp 115 volt, 60 mhtz outlet will be required for the ball machine.
Is The PickupWall noisy?
The PickupWall is very quiet and is barely audible from the baseline where the ball machine is placed.
What type of tennis balls work with The PickupWall?
All regulation tennis balls, new or worn and kid’s orange and green balls thrown by the ball machine work with The PickupWall.
What is the warranty of The PickupWall?
The PickupWall is warranted for 2 years from the date of purchase.
What are the maintenance requirements for The PickupWall?
The PickupWall is maintenance free. There is no need for lubrication, calibration or cleaning. Outdoor units require the track to be free of debris and moisture each day before use. The need to dry the track of moisture is a not a necessity for the PickupWall, rather a requirement not to return wet balls back to the ball machine.
Is it weatherproof?
The PickupWall has been tested under the harshest conditions in Florida and Canada. It is designed to operate between 32 – 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The Starboard constructed lifter shell is impervious to heat and rain although severe flooding could affect the electrical components.
How do I winterize The PickupWall?
In northern climates, the lifter unit and auger must be stored for the winter. The net may collapse on the track and covered and left on the court.
Will it survive high winds and hurricanes?
If high winds, (over 40 mph), or a hurricane is expected, The PickupWall must be secured as per winter instructions.
Can I convert a Generation I blower motor to quieter lifter technology?
Yes, you can keep your existing track, net and convert the blower to lifter and add a section of return tube.
How long does it take to receive The PickupWall after placing my order?
